3.7 ins. Anti-Aicraft Gun  [RG-202] 

Dismantling one of three 3.7ins. AA guns used in this paticular Opperation. None of my unit knew they were positioned about 200 yards behind us in a Jungle clearing. All three of these guns commenced firing at the same time at about 6.30 in the morning and continued until 7.15.(We had been in that location all night). We had never experienced such a noise, one could hear the shells whistling overhead and on to the target. Following that, 3 Lincolns of number 1 Squadron RAAF bombed the area. Not practical to get my Camera out as we had to look out for escaping CTs.
